North Country Bonecruncher Fantasy Football League Rules

1. The draft will always be held on the last Sunday before the first regular season game.

  1. All 20 “Team Owners” must be present to draft their players.

  2. Entry fee into the league is $50.00 per Owner. From the total entry fees taken in, the first

$100 (or so ) goes to plaques for the top 4 finishers. The remainder is referred to as

“ booty “ and will be distributed among the top 4 finishers. It will be dispensed in the following manner: 1st place- 40%    2nd place- 30%    3rd place- 20%     4th place- 10%

4. The 20-man league will be split into two 10-man divisions ( referred to as "Blue division" and "Red division" ). These two divisions will separately and simultaneously draft their players. The order of the draft will be based on the previous year's final standings, with the last place finishers picking first in their division, and the previous year's winners picking last.

5. Each Owner gets 2 minutes to make their selection for each round. After all the players are chosen, we will reconverge into a 20-man league and everyone's score will be ranked against everyone else's score.

6. The 17 players that an Owner drafts are on his team all year unless they get injured.

There are however several opportunities to trade a player during the season. ( see rule 9 )

7. A player is considered injured if he appears on the team's pre-game injury report -

regardless of his status ( probable, doubtful, etc. ), and that player does not play at all

during that game. When this is the case, the player that starts in place of the injured

player will score points until the injured player comes back, or is taken off the injury

report. If a player gets injured during a game, only the points he compiled prior to the

injury will count. Go to Injury Replacement Rules for a more detailed breakdown.

8. If your replacement player has already been drafted by another Owner, then BOTH

owners will receive points from that player until it is determined that the injured player

is eligible to play. If the injured player is deemed fit to play, but the backup player plays

instead, the Owner gets NO points for that player.

9. FREE TRADE: Everyone in the league has the opportunity to drop any one player from his roster and replace him with a player who is not on any other Owner's roster in his division. That is your one and only free trade until week 17 when everyone in the league is allowed to make an additional free trade. All other trades after that are called "Wildcard" trades, and each of us has the opportunity to use them any time after week 1. There is no limit to how many Wildcard trades you can make, however each one will cost you points. All Wildcard trades will cost you 10 points off your overall score. Wildcard trades are conducted on Tuesdays, so those who are interrested must contact the commissioner before Tuesday. If more than one owner are scheduled for a trade, the order will be based on their place in the standings on the day if the trade ( lowest rank goes first ).

10. Flex players: During the draft, each owner will select his 15 starters PLUS he will select two (2) flex players. A flex player may be a running back, a wide receiver, or a tight end. Only ONE of your flex players may start each week, the other stays on the bench (inactive). Each owner will decide on draft day which of his flex players will be the starter for week 1. That player will remain the starter EVERY week until the owner notifies the commissioner to switch his starting flex player with the one that's on the bench. Owners have until kickoff of the first NFL game each week to make that switch, and they can switch as often as they want. And flex players may be traded just like any of the other starters. However, you can pick up a (just one)new flex player from the waiver wire every week, and it costs 10 points off your overall score for a flex trade, just like a Wildcard Trade.

10A. Flex player "promotion": A flex player may be promoted to a full-time roster position, bumping the full-time starter down to flex player status. The player being promoted must play the same position as the player being demoted. Also, the player being promoted must have already been a flex player for at least a week, while the player being demoted must remain a flex player for at least a week. And finally, we are each allowed only ONE PROMOTION per week.

11. All trades will be conducted in the following manner: If you are interested in making a trade (Wildcard Trade, Free Trade, or Flex Trade), you must contact the commissioner before Tuesday to get on the trade list. On Tuesdays, those who are wishing to make a Wildcard Trade, a flex trade, or a Free Trade will be contacted by the Commissioner in an order based on the current standings (the person lowest in the standings will get to trade first). Once those trades are completed, anyone else wishing to make a trade has until Thursday evening before kickoff to make their trade.

Each team will be made up of the following players:

2 Quarterbacks

3 Running Backs

3 Wide Receivers

1 Tight End

2 Sackmasters

2 Kickers

1 Defense

1 Coach

2 Flex players

Injury Replacement Rules

If your player gets hurt during a game, you only get the points he accumulated prior

to his injury. If a player comes in to replace your man that game, his points don't count.

– To determine your replacement player, go to the team's own web page and click on their Depth Chart. The player listed directly behind your player is your replacement player.

– Once a man is used as your replacement player, he remains your replacement until

your original player is declared healthy and is off the injury report.

– If someone else in the league already has your replacement player, you BOTH get his

points.

– If your replacement player gets hurt, you go through the same selection process to

determine his replacement.

Starting lineups are taken from the Gamebook feature on www.nfl.com. Injury reports and

player stats are compiled from that same website. If there are any questions concerning a

player's injury status, or who his replacement player is, please contact the Commissioner.
